Privacy Policy

Data Collection

PoroScout collects the following information:

• Your Discord account ID and your League of Legends username, region, and ID (when using the /link command).
• Anonymous website and bot usage data.
• In the event the bot malfunctions when a command gets invoked, the error along with context information will be sent over to Sentry.io to be analyzed.
  • Data includes the following:
  • User, Guild, and Channel ID
  • Command Name
  • Command Options if applicable
  • Error details
• If linked, daily statistics of the linked League account's LP, rank, division, and tier.
  • LP History data is not directly linked to your Discord account, instead it is linked to your League account's PUUID.
  • This means, in the unlikely event that our LP history database gets breached, there is no way to draw a line between your Discord and League account.
• Your League of Legends account data (rank, past matches, profile, etc.) is stored but is not directly linked to your Discord account.

Throughout this page, you will see the term: personally identifying information (PII) used. In the case of the bot, data that is PII is data that can link directly to your Discord account's ID, which includes your linked League of Legends account name and region.

PoroScout will never share any personally identifying information publicly without your consent unless required by law, unless otherwise stated in this document. To unlink your League of Legends username, region, and ID from your Discord account, you can run /unlink.

Data Retention

Different categories of data are retained for different periods:

• Personally identifying information (the link between your Discord account and your League account) is retained for 30 days, as per Discord's guidelines. It is automatically deleted 30 days after your last command was run (processed at midnight UTC). You may also delete it at any time by running /unlink.
• LP history data (linked to your League account's PUUID, not your Discord account) is retained indefinitely to provide long-term statistics and graphs.
• General League of Legends account data (rank, past matches, profile, etc.) is cached and retained for as long as the cache remains valid. This data is not linked to your Discord account.

Third-Party Services

PoroScout relies on a number of third-party services to operate. Your Discord account ID is never shared with any third party, with the sole exception of error reporting (see below). When data is sent to a third party for League of Legends features, the most that is ever shared are the command options you provide (such as a Riot username or a champion name), and this data is not linked to your Discord account.

• Sentry: error reporting. This is the only third party that may receive data linked to your Discord account, and only when a command fails (see the Data Collection section above).
• Cloudflare: acts as a proxy in front of our infrastructure and hosts this website.
• Plausible Analytics : self-hosted, privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics. See the Website Analytics section below.
• Riot Games API: source of League of Legends account and match data. Queries are not linked to your Discord account.
• Mobalytics: source of additional League of Legends data. Requests are not linked to your Discord account.
• CommunityDragon: source of League of Legends game assets and data. Requests are not linked to your Discord account.

Our bot/website may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Website Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, hosted on our own infrastructure, to collect anonymous website usage data. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect any personally identifying information. Website analytics are not associated with your Discord account.

Bot Usage Data

We collect anonymous data about how the bot's commands are used. Where this usage data is associated with a Discord account ID, that ID is hashed before storage so that it cannot be reversed. However, given a known Discord account ID, the corresponding hashed usage data can still be correlated back to that account.

Data Security

Your data is stored on our own bare-metal infrastructure. Stored data that is personally identifying is encrypted for added protection. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will post a notification in our Discord server describing the extent of the breach as soon as we are reasonably able to, and in any case within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. Because PoroScout does not collect email addresses, our Discord server and this website are the only channels through which we can notify you.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These may include the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

You can exercise your right to deletion at any time by running /unlink, which removes the link between your Discord and League accounts. For any other request, or to delete other data we may hold, contact us using the email in the Questions section below. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Children's Privacy

PoroScout is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

International Users

PoroScout's application and database are hosted on bare-metal infrastructure located in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. This website is served globally through Cloudflare. If you access PoroScout from outside the United States, you understand that your data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the bot, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in our Discord server. Your continued use of the bot after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
